I am not the calmest dental patient and having my first tooth extraction since my wisdom teeth were removed as a teen (while under anesthesia) made me a bit anxious. Also I was feeling uneasy about having a bone graft and sinus lift prior to implant surgery as my dentist had explained might be necessary. From the time I entered the office for my initial visit with Dr. Beushausen and throughout the checkout process, I was impressed by the kindness, professionalism, and down-to-earth personalities of all with whom I had contact. Dr. Beushausen was thorough in his explanation of my upcoming procedures, took the time to answer questions and address my concerns, and made me feel at ease. Again during my bone graft appointment and follow-up appointment today, the experience for me was a very positive one. Like me, most don't look forward to dental procedures/surgery, but I know I am in good hands with Dr. Beushausen and the staff at Dieitrich & Associates.

I’m 40 years old and needed wisdom tooth removal. I had 3 in total, and only one was partially impacted. You must understand that I have a pathological fear of the dentist and oral surgeon. I had a traumatic experience as a small child that resulted from emergency oral surgery to have a tooth reimplanted. It was an awful experience that has followed me my entire life and was primarily the reason I still had wisdom teeth at 40. I went to high school with Dr. Dietrich, and if I was going to get this done, I wanted to go to someone I trusted and had an exceptional reputation. My consult was a breeze, and I immediately felt better about the procedure. I scheduled my surgery and was really nervous as the time drew closer and closer. On the morning of the operation, I was definitely freaked out, but when I got there, Dr. Dietrich put my mind at ease once again. Something I thought was really unique is that he does his own IV’s. Doctor’s don’t do that. I was a medic for a long time, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a doctor start an IV before. In my opinion, that shows an exceptional level of patient care. General anesthesia was the best fit for me, and honestly, I don’t remember anything much beyond the IV being placed. I woke up almost exactly 45 minutes later, and that was that. I’m an Autism, and Special Needs parent of 3 and my life is incredibly complicated. I was very concerned about the recovery period because as a full-time caregiver, I needed to be back on my feet ASAP. I can honestly say that I never experienced any pain. I had mild discomfort where the impacted tooth was, but at most, it felt like I had bit my cheek or something. Even that was very brief and didn't disrupt anything. That was it. I was given pain meds, but I only needed the Motrin. I didn’t even have any noticeable swelling. I’m over 2 weeks outside of my surgery, and I haven’t had a single problem. My experience has been beyond anything I expected. Dr. Dietrich and his kind, compassionate staff, helped me through this process. They were patient with me and my fears and never made me feel like I was crazy. While I don’t plan on ever needing oral surgery again, I would never want to go anywhere else. I had heard so many nightmare stories about wisdom tooth removal, and that didn’t help. I highly recommend that you NEVER watch any of the YouTube videos out there of people sharing their stories. My experience was nothing like that at all. I firmly believe that the quality of the surgeon has a direct impact on the experience. Dr. Dietrich is the best and coming from someone who’s lived their entire life in fear of the dentist and oral surgeon, that says a lot. Trust me, I researched and researched for quite some time, before making my decision to go to Dr. Dietrich. I can’t thank Dr. Dietrich and his staff enough. I would never hesitate to recommend him to anyone, friends or family, especially if they have a fear of the dentist or oral surgeon.

In short, this practice is awesome, and from the get-go. I had a tooth that had been increasing in pain and got to be nearly unbearable. I ended up at a dentist who sent me to an endodontist who found the tooth cracked and thus was unable to do a root canal, so said I needed to see an oral surgeon and referred me to Dietrich & Associates. This was all around the July 4th holiday and they weren't able to get me in for another week when the endodontist scheduled with them for me. Since this had been going on for a while, I was in extreme non-stop pain at this point so I called and explained what was going on to Abbey at Dietrich & Associates. Abbey was my initial contact, took the time to show care and compassion (which was unusual in my experience) and said she would talk directly to both doctors on my behalf to see what could be done. Much to my surprise Abbey called back hours later and said they found a way to get me in the next day! I was so joyful I was nearly in tears - not only that I saw the end in sight, BUT that Abbey and obviously Dr. Dietrich and Dr. Beushausen seemed to really care and understand my situation. I went in and Dr. Beushausen was able to remove the offending tooth and prep it for a permanent implant. Dr. Beushausen took his time to explain absolutely everything they were going to do (I was also being put to sleep for it), he let me ask questions and did NOT rush me at all. All the other assistants were also very good with me. Bottom line is every single person at Dietrich & Associates gave me confidence and made me feel very comfortable. This practice is the only oral surgery practice you should be considering. Period.

I give Dr Thomas Dietrich and his team a 5 out of 5! I can't say enough good things about this office. Abbey was a true Ray of Sunshine when I called in desperately seeking an appointment due to the pain I was in. And Doctor Dietrich is the best oral surgeon I have ever gone to. They are all very professional, kind and knowledgeable. I want to thank them all, Doc Thomas Dietrich, Abbey, Megan, Tracey, Kathy, Stephanie, Tiffany, Hailey, Julie and Trisha! Dr. Cain is a great dentist & when she saw my problem was beyond her she made a call to Dr Dietrich & got me into see him the next day. She prepared X-ray & referral for me to ale & Dr. Deitrich's office faxed Dr Cain all the paperwork they needed me to have prepared. I've had a lot of expierance w/Dr's & this does not occur very often. Thank you so much. I feel better already!

As a middle aged adult needing a wisdom tooth extraction I had heard all the stories about how difficult and painful the proceedure could be. Dr. Dietrich and his staff were very professional and took the time to explain the proceedure and answer my questions.
